Martin Stamper

Martin Stamper ( born August 21, 1986 in Liverpool) is a British Taekwondo. It starts in the weight category up to 68 kilograms.

Stamper joined at the age of six years with a Taekwondo Club. He trained today at the power center in Manchester. He celebrated his first international success at the Junior European Championship 2001 in Pamplona, where he won the silver medal. In the adult area, he played his first title fights in 2005, but resigned at the World Championships in Madrid and the European Championships in Riga from an early stage. Stamper was starting at the 2008 European Championships in Rome, nor in the weight category up to 62 kg, reach the final, where he lost to Levent Tuncat and won silver. At the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju, he reached the semi-final, which he lost to Servet Tazegül and bronze also won his first World Championship medal. Another bronze medal won Stamper at the home European Championship in Manchester.

The British Association took in 2011 in Stampers weight class a starting place for the 2012 Olympic Games in London to complete. In June 2012, he was officially nominated. Two months later, he scored in the Olympic tournament in fifth place, after he was defeated in the battle for the bronze medal Rohullah Nikpai.
