Martin Vaniak

Martin Vaniak ( born October 4, 1970 in Ústí nad Labem ) is a Czech football player on the goalkeeper position.

Career

Martin Vaniak began at the small club Severotuk in his home town of Ústí nad Labem, with ten years he moved to the larger club Armaturka. His military service, he graduated at VTJ Hodonín, then he moved to Sigma Olomouc. There he was in 1994/95 goalkeeper.

From 1997 to 2001 he played for Petra Drnovice and then returned to Olomouc. The next few years he was one of the best goalkeepers in the Czech Republic and came between 2002 and 2004 on seven missions in the national jersey. In the squad for the Euro 2004 in Portugal, he was a surprise to many, not appointed. The end of 2004 Vaniak was unofficial in Marbella world champion in holding free kicks.

When his contract with Sigma Olomouc in the summer of 2005 ended, it seemed as if he would switch to Slavia Prague, finally landed Vaniak the Greek club Panionios Athens. After just one season in Greece, he joined in August 2006 for FK SIAD Most.

In the summer of 2007 Vaniak was obliged Slavia Prague. With Slavia won the Goalkeeper 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09, the Czech Championship. In the 2009/10 season he lost his place in the gate of Slavia Prague after an error on Matchday first to Jan Hanus, but returned in late August back between the posts. In October 2009, he told coach Karel Jarolím that in future he only goalkeeper behind Deniss Romanovs was.
