Martinus Thomsen

Martinus Thomsen, referred to as Martinus, ( born August 11, 1890 in the vicinity of the village of North Jutland Sindal, † March 8, 1981 ) was a Danish writer and mystic.

Thomsen came from meager conditions and enjoyed as a young man, only the most necessary education. Later he worked in the dairy industry, finally as a night watchman in a dairy. In March 1921, he experienced after a meditation a vision that gave him the impetus to his career as a writer.

The life work of philosophical self-taught Thomsen, writings are to an extent of about ten thousand typewritten pages, it is referred to as the " Martinus Cosmology " or as " The Third Testament ". This is according to information from trailers to a " continuation of the Bible." Martinus Thomsen himself says that he " was applied to continue the mission of Christ and to reveal God's future creation perfection of mankind (...)". His publications include the main title " Livets Bog " ( The Book of Life ) in seven volumes, " The Eternal World Picture" in four volumes, the books logic, burial and 30 smaller books with different titles.

In 1932, the Martinus Institute was established to make it accessible to Martinus ' literature in various languages ​​in Copenhagen.
