Mary Dann

Then Mary (born 1 January 1923 in Eureka County, Nevada, † April 22, 2005 in Crescent Valley, Nevada ) was an American environmental activist of Indian descent.

Then Mary was Shoshone Indian and rancher. You stood up for the rights of their people, for the environment and against the nuclear tests in Nevada ( Nevada Test Site, NTS). Together with her sister Carrie, she received the 1993 Right Livelihood Award.

She died in 2005 in an accident near their ranch
