Mary Honeyball

Mary Honeyball ( born November 12, 1952 in Weymouth ) is since 2000 an MEP for the Labour Party for London in the Socialist Group in the European Parliament.

Career

1975 graduated Honeyball her study of contemporary history with a Bachelor of Arts. Between 1978 and 1986 she attended the council of the London district of Barnet. From 1978 to 1994 she acted as a member of various schools in the London Boroughs of Barnet and Lewisham. 1982-1986 led to the Chairperson of the Women's Committee of the Labour Party in London, 1985-1998, and was in the same city a member of the political committee of the services of the cooperatives. From 1986 to 1990 she was responsible as Secretary General of the Council for Voluntary Service, London Borough of Newham.

1990-1992 was Honeyball manager of SCOPE, a charitable organization for the disabled. From 1992 to 1994 she was a member of the National Federation of women's organizations as well as CEO of Gingerbread, a support group for single parents. Between 1994 and 1998 she took over as Secretary General of the shaft of the Association of Probation Officers. 1998-2000 had Mary Honeyball the treasurer items from Emily's List, UK, for more Labour women belonging in Parliament advocates held. 2000-2003 she was a board member of the Women's Committee of the Labour Party, from that date to 2004, also a member of the National Policy Forum of the same party.
