Maryam Namazie

Maryam Namazie (born 1966 in Tehran, Iran) is a civil rights activist. It is committed to the radical regime in Tehran and against Islamism worldwide, including as a spokesperson for the Council of Ex - Muslims of Britain, the British variant of the Central Council of Ex-Muslims.

Namazie comes from Iran, had to leave in 1980 because of the Islamic Revolution, but the country. She is the founder of the Association Iran Solidarity and elected board member of the Worker-communist Party of Iran club. The women's rights activist is the spokesperson of Equal Rights Now - Organisation against Women's Discrimination in Iran and the International Committee against Stoning.
