Masamichi Noro

Masamichi Noro (Japanese Masamichi Noro野 吕 昌 道; born January 21, 1935 in Tōkyō, † March 15, 2013 ) was the founder of Kinomichi. Previously, he was a senior Japanese aikido teacher in France.

Life

Noro joined in 1955 as Uchideshi in the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo one. At the same time there began also Yasuo Kobayashi Katsuaki Asai and with the Aikido. Masamichi Noro was sent to France in 1961 to support Nobuyoshi Tamura. He was the youngest Shihan (teacher).

Noro has completed a degree in economics and studied singing and jazz at the Conservatory in Tokyo.

Due to an accident he began his Aikido with knowledge of Western body work of Dr. Lily Ehrenfried, Gerda Alexander, Karl Fried Count Dürckheim among others to change. After he had given up his teaching job and returned Aikido Shihan title at the Honbu Dojo, he called from September 1979 his work " method Noro Kinomichi " ( path of energy). At this time he had the 7th Dan ( Aikikai ) holds.

Style

Kinomichi combines gentle bodywork Eastern and Western movement approaches. Characteristic are both slow and fast movements with changing partners. Kinomichi is like Aikido is not performance-based. Master Noro taught his method in Paris and was also up to his death in contact with the leading Aikido Shihan in Europe.
