Maskelyne (crater)

Maskelyne is an impact crater on the lunar front side in the plane of the Sea of ​​Tranquility, northwest of the crater Censorinus. The crater shape is irregular with sharp edge, the interior is uneven with traces of landslides.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the English court astronomer Nevil Maskelyne.
