Massacre is a town in the Caribbean island of Dominica Republic and has about 1,200 inhabitants.
Massacre is located on the west coast of Dominica in the District ( Parish ) St. Paul, about 6 km north of the capital Roseau, on the eponymous river Massacre River.
The town received its name in memory of a massacre (English massacre ) British troops to the Carib Indians, in which in 1674 almost 100 indigenous people were massacred. Today, a mural reminiscent of a house wall in the village at this event.
