Massena Terminal Railroad

The Massena Terminal Railroad (AAR reporting mark MSTR ) is a railway company in upstate New York in the United States. The Rangiergesellschaft part of the rail company Genesee and Wyoming Inc.

The company, headquartered in Massena was founded on 20 April 1900, since mainly serves as a connection path for the aluminum plant at Alcoa's Massena.

2005 was carried out by RailAmerica the takeover of Alcoa - owned rail companies, including the Massena Terminal Railroad. 2012 came the railway company, with the acquisition of RailAmerica, Genesee and Wyoming Inc. to

About 3,000 freight cars are moved annually on today around 6.5 kilometer route. For traffic are two locomotives EMD MP15DC ( Nos. 14 and 15 ) are available. In Massena, there is a transition to the route network of the CSX Transportation. The locomotive No. 11, an ALCO S-4, was delivered to the New York Cross Harbor Railroad.
