Massimo Zanetti

Segafredo Zanetti is a company specializing in coffee products and internationally active retail company with headquarters in Italy. It has an annual turnover of 550 million euros and employs more than 2000 employees.

The group Segafredo Zanetti is the only company of its kind to coffee production organized independently from cultivation to clearance (vertical integration). The company owns a plantation in Brazil, called " Nossa Senhora Da Guia " which represents the largest contiguous coffee plantation in the world according to the company. Also has eight roasters and espresso machines production " LaSanMarco " to the company.

Company History

The company was founded by Massimo Zanetti in Rastignano at Bologna in 1973. The first overseas branch was opened in 1983 in Austria. In 2005 the company took over several companies in the United States.

Criticism

In June 2010, the German Coffee Association Hamburg was accused by the Federal Cartel Office to have promoted a cartel of coffee company with a press release in February 2005, which is why a fine of up to € 90,000 was imposed.
