Masuna

Masuna was a king of the Berber ( Moorish ) in the early 6th century.

Masuna is in an inscription as "King of the Moors and Romans " means ( rex gentium maurorum et Romanorum ). The Doppeltitulatur is very unusual for a late ancient " barbarian rulers ". The inscription according to which is dated to the year 508, a fortress in Altava was built under his rule. Masuna would seem to have ruled both Moors and Romans over and have also employs Roman officials.

He may be identical with the Moors Prince Massonas, mentioned by Prokopios.
