Matilda White Riley

Matilda White Riley ( born April 19, 1911 in Boston, † 14 November 2004 in Brunswick, Maine) was an American sociologist, who studied sociology in particular for age. In 1986, she held the 77th Presidency of the American Sociological Association.

After completing his doctorate at Harvard University Riley was long active in the market research and the scientific organization. Later she turned to the age sociology. She taught as a professor at Rutgers University and at Bowdoin College.
