Matra MS80

The Matra MS80 was a Formula 1 racing car built at Matra 1969. With the MS80 Jackie Stewart won his first drivers' title in the Formula 1 World Championship.

The MS80 was the most successful single-seater racing cars Matra while the car was only one season in use. As with the MS10 only two copies were also built from MS80. The meticulous preparation of the cars by the Tyrrell Racing Organisation and the high driving skill of the two drivers Jackie Stewart and Jean -Pierre Beltoise it was thanks to them that we came up with two chassis without coarser damage through the season.

Stewart won five World Cup races and was crowned world champion deserves. The constructors' title also went to Matra and all the rapporteur 's view, it was a British ( Tyrrell ) or a French ( Matra ) triumph.

Bernard Boyer straightened in his design by the stable structures of the early Formula 2 Matra as the MS7. In the extended edges, the tanks, which had a capacity of 210 liters, were housed.
