Matra Murena

The Talbot -Matra Murena is a three -seater sports coupe of the car manufacturer Matra, which was produced by the summer of 1980 to early 1984.

It was designed by Antonis Volanis as the successor of the Matra - Simca Bagheera and presented in September 1980 at the Paris Salon. However, no long construction period it was granted because Matra had meanwhile reached an agreement with Renault for the construction of the Renault Espace. At Renault, we studied the Murena as a strong competitor of the house sports coupe Renault Alpine and therefore demanded to stop production.

The production ran in January 1984 after a total of 10,680 copies of final. On the production lines, the first series of the Renault Espace was produced from spring 1984.
