Matsuri Hino

Matsuri Hino (Japanese樋野 まつり, Hino Matsuri, born January 24, 19xx in Sapporo, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese manga artist, whose works are aimed at adolescent girls and are assigned to the shōjo genre. She works for the publisher Hakusensha.

Before the 16-page short story Kisu no Honto no imi where Oshiete in June 1995 their first Manga in manga magazine LaLa published, she had worked in a bookstore. Just nine months before her debut as a professional illustrator they had chosen this career path. For her debut, she won the 40th Diamond LMS Rookie Shō, a prize for the promotion of talented Nachwuchsmangaka. It was followed by the 40 -page work Kono Yume ga Sametara for the magazine LaLa DX, for which she received another award, the ninth LMG Gold Debut Shō, a prize for outstanding first publications of Japanese comic artist.

In the following years she recorded another short manga for LaLa and LaLa DX, before their first series began in February 1999, Toraware no Mi no Ue. The manga about a girl whose family is cursed because of a theft of an ancestor, ended in 2002 after over 850 pages. A short time later, the first chapter appeared their next manga Merupuri - The Prince Charming in LaLa, who tells in more than 700 pages from a wishing for a Prince Charming girl and has been translated into French, English and German.

Since November 2004 Hino works for LaLa to Vampire Knight, which plays at a school takes place at the normal daytime classes are taught at night, however, the vampires. The manga is her biggest success; it is converted into an anime television series, so far, over two million sold times and is translated into several languages. So it appears on German in the manga magazine Daisuki.
