Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox ( * July 14, 1966 in Crowheart, Wyoming ) is an American actor.

Life

Raised in Crowheart on a horse ranch he went at the age of six years on the Wind River High School and then studied at the Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts. Since 1992 he is with his wife Margherita, with whom he has two children.

In Germany Matthew Fox mainly through the Youth series Party of Five (1994-2000) was known. From 2004 to 2010 he played the role of Dr. Jack Shephard in the U.S. television series Lost, which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series ( Drama ) earned him 2006. In the same category in 2010 he was nominated for an Emmy.
