Matthias Liebers

Matthias Lieber ( born November 22, 1958 in Leipzig ) is a German football player.

Career

He started at the BSG locomotive Leipzig-Mitte (1965-1968) and then played from 1968 until the turn of the 1st FC Locomotive Leipzig in the GDR Oberliga. In 321 games, he scored 37 goals. The midfielder completed from 1991 to 1996 with VfB Leipzig finally 25 Bundesliga games in the 1993/1994 season and 74 games in the Bundesliga 2. He graduated beyond 1980-1988 59 caps for the national team of the GDR. He had the career with FC Grün-Weiß Wolfen (1996-1997), end the evening with FV Zeulenroda (1997-1998) and played until recently at SV Blau - Weiß 90 Neustadt. In the 2009/2010 season, he led the New Town from the East sovereign country class to the rise in the national league Thuringia. In the 2004/05 season he played for the re-established 1 FC Locomotive Leipzig in the 3rd district league two matches and scored one goal.
