Matti Rantanen (accordionist)

Matti Rantanen ( born February 20, 1952 in Helsinki) is one of the most prominent Finnish accordionist.

Rantanen learned his instrument among others Lasse Pihlajamaa and studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He works as a professor and head of a solo class for accordion, emerged from the numerous well-known accordionists. 1996 nominated him the Sibelius Academy as " Teacher of the Year ".
