Matúš Kozáčik

Matus Kozacik (* December 27 1983 in Dolny Kubin, Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia) is a Slovak football player. The goalkeeper stands since 2012 at Viktoria Plzen under contract.

Club career

Kozacik began playing football at MFK Dolny Kubin. In 1998, the goalkeeper for 1 FC Kosice, where he was admitted into the professional squad in 2000. Two years later Kozacik went to the Czech League to Slavia Prague, where he was first a substitute for Radek Cerny. After its retirement in early 2005 Kozacik was the new number one in goal, but had to make Michal Borel space in the second half of 2006/ 07. End of July 2007, he moved to city rivals Sparta Prague, where he behind Tomáš Poštulka and later behind Jaromír Blazek number two was at first. In June 2010, the Slovak joined Anorthosis Famagusta.

National

Kozacik has played more games for the Slovak national team. On 10 December 2006 he played in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates ( 1:2 ) in the first half.
