Matzoff

The Matzoff is a 7- km-long, left or north-easterly tributary of Ems in the city of Niedenstein the nature park Hawk Forest, Schwalm- Eder-Kreis, North Hesse ( Germany ).

Course

The Matzoff rises on the western flank of the Langeberg Mountains. Your source is right in Ermetheis, an eastern Niedensteiner district, around 360 m above sea level. NN.

After leaving the Ermetheis Matzoff flows south through a fringed part of the forest valley where discharges including the small magpie creek. Then it runs through the district Metze, where you accrue two more streams, the second comes from the Landgraf Born.

The Langeberg Mountains leaving - - After the Matzoff runs right outside the Natural Park Hawk Forest west southwestward to and through the Wartberg situated at the Kirchberg area.

Even in this village opens the Matzoff - on their last few meters in the park again to extend - to around 190 m above sea level. NN in the flowing there from northwest zoom Eder inflow Ems.
