Mauri Pekkarinen

Mauri Pekkarinen ( born October 6, 1947 in Kinnula ) is a Finnish politician, long-time parliamentarian, presently ( June 2010), Minister of Economic Affairs and a member of the Finnish Centre Party.

The High School put Pekkarinen in 1968. He studied at the University of Jyväskylä economy with exams in 1974. The first time he was elected in 1979 to the Finnish Parliament. Since then he heard him continuously.

He was trade and industry minister in the governments Jäätteenmäki and Vanhanen I, and in the first months of Vanhanen II 2003-2008. Finland's Minister of the Interior he worked from 1991 to 1995. In June 2010, he lost a vote on the chairman of the Centre Party Mari Kiviniemi against with 1035:1357.
