Mauricio Espinosa

Mauricio Espinosa ( born May 6, 1972 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football referee, the assistant referee as is used in international matches. He became known worldwide when he the referee a clear goal Frank Lampard did not indicate against England in the FIFA World Cup 2010 Germany in the second round.

Life

Espinosa works full time as a teacher. He speaks English and Spanish. Since 2006, he has international operations.

With the Football World Cup 2010 Espinosa was as assistant to the well Uruguayan referee Jorge Larrionda in four games in action: in Group D with Australia against Serbia in Group E with Cameroon vs Denmark, the preliminary round game Ivory Coast against Portugal in Group G and the second-round match against Germany England.
