Mauro Rosales

Mauro Damián Rosales ( born February 24, 1981 in Villa María, Córdoba Province) is an Argentine football player.

The striker began his professional career in 1999 at Newell 's Old Boys. He completed 112 games for the club, scoring 30 goals. In the summer of 2004 he was taken from Ajax Amsterdam under contract. With Ajax he won in 2005 and 2006, the Johan Cruyff Schaal, and in 2006 the KNVB Cup.

After two and a half years and 63 games for the Netherlands, he moved in March 2007 to CA River Plate. In April, he scored in his first superclásico the equalizer and thus secured his new club a point in an away game at the Bombonera.

In February 2011, he completed a trial with Seattle Sounders FC. Then he moved on March 18, 2011 on the Major League Soccer franchise.

For the Argentine national football team Mauro Rosales has played 7 games and scored a goal. He belonged to the squad of the Argentinean national team, which won gold at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games. In 2001, he won the Junior World Cup with Argentina.
