Maurs

Maur ( Occitan: Maurç, the place itself is also called Maur -la -Jolie ) is a city in central France, with 2166 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The municipality is part of the Cantal, Aurillac and is the capital of the arrondissement (French: chef- lieu) of the Canton of Maur.

Location

Maur is located in the Massif Central on the Rance, about 30 kilometers southwest of Aurillac. Verkehrlich the community is accessible by the Route nationale 122 and by the railway - Figeac Arvant with the station. Southeast of the town runs the River Rance, open into the several streams in the municipality.
