Max Kohler

Max Kohler ( born October 6, 1919 in Solothurn, Switzerland, † April 1, 2001, Zurich, Switzerland ) was a Swiss painter and graphic artist. He is one of the most important representatives of Abstract painting and printmaking after the Second World War.

Life

Max Kohler's art found in particular in the 1950s and 1960s international attention. In 1959, Kohler was at the documenta 2 in Kassel in the Graphics Department. He lived and worked most of his life in Paris and Bern.
