Max Zahle

Maximilian "Max" Count ( born September 1, 1977 in Hannover ) is a German film director.

Life

Growing up is Max Count in Celle, the son of an engineer Hans Henning Count and primary school teacher Siegrid Count. Max has two siblings, Catherine and Count Sebastian. After graduating from high school in 1997 at Ernestinum Celle, he moved to Hamburg in 1998 to do an internship at a film production.

From 1999 to 2003 he was a freelance video operator, manager and assistant director on various film sets, in between also worked at a post-production editing and began to stage short films. In parallel, he studied at the Hanseatic Academy of Marketing and Media ( HAMM ) " communication of audio and visual media " with degree in communications management in 2002. Subsequently, he was at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, a check for film and video editor.

From 2004 he was a freelance editor and director at various advertising film and music video productions. From 2008 to 2010 he studied at the Hamburg Media School graduate studies for film director with a master 's degree. In 2010 he spent several months in Calcutta on to shoot the film Raju. With this, he achieved his biggest successes: 2011 student Oscar in bronze and 2012 Oscar nomination in the category of Best non- animated short film ( Short Film - Live Action ).

In October of 2012 was Count member of the jury of the Mont Blanc screenplay prize at the Hamburg Film Festival. Since the autumn of 2012, he filmed several episodes of the TV series Großstadtrevier.

Count is married to the daughter of the late on March 5, 2013 actor and director Dieter Pfaff.
