Maxim Mehmet

Maxim Mehmet ( born July 2, 1975 in Kassel, Germany ) is a German actor.

Life

Maxim Mehmet grew up on a farm in northern Hesse. His name comes from his grandfather, a Crimean Tatars. First acting experience was gained with the puppet theater of his mother, later in the school theater and some fringe theater groups. In Berlin, he initially studied theater. Only 25, he decided to study acting, he studied at the Academy for Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" ( HFF) in Potsdam. Leander Haussmann cast him in his published 2005 military comedy NVA as a sergeant Aurich. In 2008 he played his first lead role in meat is my vegetables ( Director: Christian Görlitz), a film adaptation of the autobiography of the writer and musician Heinz Strunk.

Since 2008, Mehmet as forensic scientist Wolfgang Menzel is part of the investigative team of the Leipzig Tatort episodes. In the successful German movie Men in the City, he was seen in 2009 as a chaotic dreamer Philipp; also in the successor men's hearts ... and very, very great love, he was there again. In Peter Timms romantic comedy Love Berlin Wall, he had the lead role opposite Felicitas Woll. In the German fairy tale movie The wise farmer's daughter, he played the king. He got another starring role opposite Charly Hübner in psychodrama Under neighbors, with whom he had represented in 2011 in competition at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
