Maximilian C. Jehuda Ewert

Maximilian Cornelius Jehuda Ewert (born 22 July 1974 in Soltau ) is a German composer. After he had been advised on time as a composer, his works at home and abroad are listed ( eg Argentina, Canada, France, Israel, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, USA).

Biography

Ewert was born as the son of former military doctor Karsten Ewert. After graduation in 1994, he studied violin and composition in Augsburg at John van Buren and later at the University of Music Würzburg at Heinz Winbeck. Ewert received several awards, including the 1999 first prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Hamburg and in 2006 the first prize for a symphonic work of the Oslo Grieg Society. For his compositions 2001 to 2002 he lived as a fellow at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. At the same time Ewert was active as a violinist in several orchestras, including in the Russian Chamber Philharmonic St. Petersburg and most recently as a concert master at the Opéra Comique in Paris. At the same time he was played by renowned ensembles such as the Arditti Quartet. Since 2001, Maximilian CJ Ewert stayed several times in Argentina, where he among other things, collaborated with Oscar Nicolas Fresedo and with performances of his tango became established in Buenos Aires. In 2007, he received orders from the Kassel Music Days, the Munich A • DEvantgarde festivals and taught at the University of the Arts Berlin. Since 2006, Ewert attended the courses of José Manuel López López at the University of Paris VIII, where he meets regularly on his professors Heinz Winbeck and John van Buren.

Ewert is married to the soprano Yolanda Fresedo.
