Maximilian, Margrave of Baden
Maximilian Andreas Markgraf von Baden, also known as Max von Baden ( born July 3, 1933, Salem) is a German entrepreneur and since 1963 head of the house of Baden. As such, he calls himself completely Maximilian Andreas Friedrich Gustav Ernst August Bernhard Margrave of Baden, Duke of Zahringen.
Life
Max von Baden is the son of Berthold, Margrave of Baden and Theodora of Greece. He attended the Schule Schloss Salem. After graduation, he did his military service as a reserve officer candidates of the Bundeswehr. Today he is a colonel in the reserve.
Since 1966 Max von Baden with Valerie Isabella Habsburg-Lothringen (* May 23, 1941 ) from the former Austrian emperor and Hungarian King House of Habsburg -Lorraine, daughter of Hubert Salvator of Habsburg -Lorraine ( 1894-1971 ) and Rosemary of Salm- married Salm and granddaughter of Franz Salvator of Austria - Tuscany and has made this marriage a daughter and three sons.
His mother was the sister of Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh and he is thus a first cousin of Charles, Prince of Wales and his siblings.
He is also the owner of the wineries of the Margrave of Baden, who manages his eldest son Prince Bernhard of Baden since 1998. This should be after the death of Maximilian also head of the house of Baden.
Max von Baden has four children:

- Prince Bernhard of Baden ( * May 27, 1970 in Salem)
- Prince Leopold of Baden ( born October 1, 1971 in Salem)
- Prince Michael of Baden ( born March 11, 1976 in Salem)
Max von Baden was temporarily from Rheinschiffahrt association active until the German Red Cross in nearly 50 organizations and associations. In the German Red Cross, he is Badisches in the Honorary Council of the National Association DRC Red Cross member. He shied away from the public eye before handing over the management to his son. In particular, the work of the Red Cross, he is closely linked and regularly attends meetings.
