Maxwell Reed
Maxwell Reed ( born April 2, 1919 in Larne, Ireland, † October 31, 1974 in England) was a British actor.
Life
Reed began his acting career in the late 1940s. He received a contract with the Rank Organisation and occurred mainly in the 1950s in a number of British films, including starring roles in B-movies. In May 1952, he married Joan Collins, the marriage was divorced in 1956. From the late 1950s, Reed has worked increasingly in the United States. There he acted in several feature films and television series such as Bonanza and Perry Mason. Between 1957 and 1960 he played the title role in the based on motives of Jack London adventure series Captain David Grief.
Reed died of cancer in 1974.
