Mayotte national football team

The national football team is the football team of Mayotte island Mayotte, which lies off the coast of East Africa. As a French territory the Football Association Founded in 1979, is a regional subdivision of the French, but not a member of the World or the continental federation (CAF ).

Mayotte completed in its history so far only a few games. The games took place exclusively against the neighboring countries and areas Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles and Reunion. In addition, the national team participated in the discharged since 2008 Coupe de l' Outre- Mer, the competition for national teams from France's overseas territories. This could Mayotte in 2010 after all, place on rank 4.

In a U-18 tournament in 2001 was held to a combined selection of Mayotte and Réunion under the name of France de l' Océan Indien.

National Stadium of Mayotte is the Stade Cavani in Mamoudzou, which offers 5,000 spectators. The most successful teams in the premier league are AS Sada, FC Kani - Be and Rosador Passamainty. They also take part, inter alia, on the French Coupe des Clubs Champions d' Outre- Mer.

The best-known national player of the country is Toifilou Maoulida.
