Mbati (also Isongo, Issongo, Lisongo, Lissongo and Songo ) is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 60,000 people in the Central African Republic.
It is distributed in the prefecture Lobaye to Mbaiki.
Classification
Mbati forms with the languages Bomitaba, Bongili, Dibole, Ngundi and Pande Ngundi the group. After the classification of Malcolm Guthrie Mbati belongs to the Guthrie - area C20.
Mbati has the dialects Bolemba, Mbati, Bwaka and Bonzio.
