McBurney's point

As McBurney point is called in medicine involve a body which lies between the outer and middle thirds of the connecting line between the right anterior superior iliac spines ( anterior superior iliac spine ) and your belly button. A pressure pain (actually a " letting go of pain " because appendicitis pain when releasing the finger is much stronger than the pressure) in this field indicates an appendicitis ( " appendicitis " ), however, is neither necessary nor conclusive for the diagnosis. The point is named after Charles McBurney, an American surgeon who first described it.
