McHenry Venaani

Mike McHenry Kanjonokere Venaani, mostly McHenry Venaani ( born September 8, 1977 in Windhoek, Namibia ) is a Namibian politician and President of the opposition party DTA of Namibia (DTA).

Training

Venaani currently studying part-time at the University of Wolverhampton (United Kingdom). Since 2002, he holds a degree in International Commercial Law of the Holborn College. With the same college he made 1999 a graduate degree in constitutional law. Two years earlier he completed the Classic College a diploma course in corporate law.

Career

Since June 10, 2003 Venaani is a member of the Namibian National Assembly and was its youngest member.

Venaani entered 2005 in elections to the party presidency of the DTA, losing to Katuutire Kaura. Eight years later, at the party on 7 September, 2013, he won against the incumbent party president since 1998 Kaura and was elected the new party president.
