History and Organization

The MCI Management Center Innsbruck was founded in 1995 /96 under private law, but mostly standing publicly owned university center. Carrier of the College are:

  • To 75 % of the " carrier - club MZT " with Tyrol, Innsbruck, Tyrol Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Labour Tirol, Tirol Industrialists' Association, University of Innsbruck, Social and Economic Sciences of the University of Innsbruck
  • To 12.5 % of the " carrier - club technology"
  • To 12.5 % of the " carrier - club tourism"

In addition, the work of the College of a conveyance will support consisting of companies in different industries.

The MCI is an accredited holders of university degree programs in accordance with § 2 Fachhochschule Studies Act. It is not a public university, private university or college.

Bachelor & Master Program

The consecutive Bachelor's and master's programs are set up as a university of applied sciences degree programs. With the beginning of the winter semester 2005, the first courses were converted to the defined by the European Bologna Process Bachelor / Master model. By autumn 2009, the conversion was completed in all courses. Students of MCI can optionally complete a semester at one of the 150 partner universities around the world.

Training courses with an academic degree

The following courses and further pursuant to § 9 FHStG close with a Masters degree. The LL.M. Program "International Business & Tax Law" is ever implemented as a dual -degree program in cooperation with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management halfway to the offices in Innsbruck and Frankfurt am Main.

Training courses without academic degrees

MCI offers 14 certificate courses:

Industry magazine university rankings 2014: In the Austrian industry magazine ranking the Management Center Innsbruck is located on the third place of the judged universities. The ranking is based on a survey of executives, marketing and HR managers of domestic companies from all industries ..

Universe Survey 2013: As part of the Universum Student Survey 2013 rated MCI students the excellent quality of teaching, the high reputation of the university, the strong practical orientation of the study and the comprehensive student services. The ranking assesses the quality of many criteria, such as teaching, professors / inside, support, service, practice orientation, economic relations, career opportunities, internationality, opportunities to study abroad, reputation of the college as well as other important features from the perspective of the students. Around 5,000 students at Austrian universities were asked about their college experiences, career preferences and career performance.

CHE university ranking: In the current university comparison of the international Centre for Higher Education Development ( CHE) achieved the Management Center Innsbruck with its degree programs in the fields of biotechnology, mechatronics and process engineering 23 places in the top group. The MCI biotechnology course consists of Austria with a grade of 1.4 in relation to the assessment of the overall study situation to the top.

FIBAA Premium Seal: The international accreditation agency FIBAA has awarded the two training programs on " General Management Executive MB" and " MSc in Management " the FIBAA premium seal.
