Medial longitudinal fasciculus

The medial longitudinal fasciculus (medial longitudinal fasciculus ) is a bundle of nerve fibers in the area of the brain stem. It begins at the rostral end of the reticular formation and pulls the spinal cord. The medial longitudinal fasciculus contains strong fibers of the interstitial nucleus of Cajal myeliniserte, the nucleus nervi oculomotorii, the nucleus nervi abducentis, the nucleus nervi trochlear and the vestibular nuclei. The on - and-down compounds within this neural pathway play a major role in the coordination of eye movements.
