Medicinal chemistry

Medicinal chemistry is an interdisciplinary scientific branch of pharmaceutical chemistry, and thus the chemistry that deals with the design and synthesis of drugs and analyzed molecular chemical principles of drug action and quantitative structure -activity relationships sets up. The medicinal chemistry combines the aspects of organic chemistry with elements of computer chemistry, pharmacy, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry and chemical biology. The most important journal of medicinal chemistry is the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
