Medicine Head
Medicine Head was a British rock band, consisting essentially of John Fiddler (guitar, vocals and bass drum) and Peter Hope -Evans ( harmonica and jew's harp ).
In 1971, ex- Yardbird Keith Relf joined for a short time the band as " Harpo " Hope -Evans took a break to go back to 1972. The band grew up with Roger Saunders ( guitar), Rob Townsend ( drums) and George Ford ( bass) on 5- strength and had in 1973/74 their most successful period. The Single One & One Is One 1973 reached # 3 in the UK charts.
The 1974 album Thru 'A Five flopped, however, and the band began to fall apart. What remained was the original Duo Fiddler / Hope -Evans, the 1976, the last album Two Man Band brought out.
