Mega International Commercial Bank

Mega International Commercial Bank is a financial company from Taiwan. The company's headquarters is located in Taipei. MICB is one of the major banks in Taiwan.

History

The origins date back to the Chinese Bank of China back, which was founded in 1912 to the Ta Ching Government Bank to replace, the oldest bank in China. When Taiwan was returned to China from Japan in 1945, the Bank of China also took there foot. After the Communist victory in China and the flight of the national government to the island of Taiwan, Bank of China was divided into two banks, both under the same name. In 1971 was renamed in International Commercial Bank of China. instead, which could happen any confusion with the Chinese Industrial and Commercial Bank of China on the international markets.

As part of a major privatization campaign merged on 31 December 2002, the ICBC with the Chiao T'ung Bank, which emerged again from the Bank of Communications, founded in 1908.
