Mehdi Ghorbani

Mehdi Ghorbani ( born January 12, 1988 in Tehran, persian مهدی قربانی ) is an Iranian boxer.

Mehdi Ghorbani participated in the competition in the light heavyweight division at the Asian Games in 2006 and won the bronze medal. In the semifinals, he lost to Dzhakhon Kurbanov of Tajikistan.

His first qualifying fight for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing lost Ghorbani against Zhang Xiaoping. In the second qualifying campaign, he could qualify for for the Olympic Games. In Beijing he lost 9 August 2008 Carlos Negron of Puerto Rico with 4 to 13 points in the first round.
