Mehmet Dinçer

Mehmet Dinçer ( born January 1, 1924 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player. In 1950 he played briefly for Fenerbahce. With the Turkish national team, he participated in the 1954 World Cup, but came during this tournament to no use.

Little is known about the football playing career. He played in the 1950 short-term for the Turkish club Fenerbahce tradition.

National

Without having completed before each one match for the Turkish national team, Dinçer was appointed by the national coach Sandro Puppo in the squad Turkey for the World Cup 1954. Here they finished at the end of the group stage on points with the German team into second place. Although you had the better goal, it was decided by the then regime of the Second Group by a play between these two teams. This meeting decided Germany 7:2 for themselves. Due to the then great competition on the defensive oriented game came Dinçer positions during the tournament at any stake.

After the 1954 World Cup Dinçer was no longer considered for the national team.
