Mei Xiwen

Mei Xiwen (born 8 October 1982) is a Chinese snooker player from the province of Hubei.

Career

His first major success has Mei Xiwen 2007, when he with a success on Alfred Burden the main round of the China reached as a wildcard player Open. There he defeated Shaun Murphy.

Two years later he was after a successful season in the final of the Asia Cup, which he lost to James Wattana. The Asian Billiards Association ACBS nominated him then for the Snooker Main Tour 2009/10. The first ranking tournament of the season in Shanghai, however, was denied him entry and also at the following tournaments there were defeats opener for him. Only at the China Open him the first victory was achieved in the first qualifying round. Although he made the same also in the final Snooker World Cup 2010, it was not enough to assert itself on the professional tour.

At the Shanghai Masters 2010, he reached for the second time in his career with a win over Mike Dunn in the Wildcard round the main round of a world ranking tournament.
