Meitan County

The circle Meitan (湄潭 县, Meitan Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city in the Chinese province of Guizhou Zunyi. It has an area of 1845 km ² and has 470,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Meijiang (湄江 镇).

The site of the former Zhejiang University in Meitan ( Meitan Zhejiang Daxue Jiuzhi湄潭 浙江 大学 旧址) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-1051 ) since 2006.
