Melbu

Melbu (or Melbo ) is a settlement in the municipality of Hadsel on the archipelago of Vesteralen, belonging to the Norwegian county of Nordland. Melbu located a few kilometers south of the community Hadseløya and counted in the year 2012 2134 inhabitants.

About the European Route 10 Melbu is connected by ferry connection with the community Fiskebøl and over bridges with Stokmarknes. The nearest airport is also located about 25 road miles away Stokmarknes.

Melbu used to dock the mail boat Hurtigruten.
