Melotron

Melotron is a band from Neubrandenburg, which makes electronic, German -speaking synth pop music since 1995.

Band History

The founding members Andy Krüger (vocals / composition), Edgar Slatnow ( Synthesizer / lyrics ) and Kay Hildebrandt ( Synthesizer / production ) have been developed over the years a growing fan base. Original band name was The Vermin, but which later did not fit to the purely German lyrics and has been changed with the first CD in Melotron. The amazing thing is that a lot of their fans now come from abroad. The assumption that the German language is a regional phenomenon in music lyrics that Melotron refute impressively extensive European and American tours.

Production wise set Melotron on longevity. Thus, they work since her debut album Killer work with the successful indie and techno producers Olaf Wollschläger in the world men's Studios / Buir ( Kerpen) together. In 2006, new ways decided the band in this area to go and worked alongside Olaf Wollschläger also with the successful alternative producer Dirk Riegner.

On 9 February 2007 Melotron competed in the Federal Vision Song Contest for her state of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.

From January to September 2010, accompanied Melotron the German pop singer Peter Heppner at the club tour as a support act.
