Melville Vail
Arthur Melville " Sparky " Vail ( born July 5, 1906 in Meaford, Ontario, † 29 January 1983) was a Canadian ice hockey player. During his career he played 1928-1930 for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League.
Career
For the 1928/29 season, the New York Rangers Sparky Vail of the Springfield Indians brought into the NHL. There he was employed both as a defender and as a left winger. When the Rangers in 1930 sold him to the Providence Reds, this ended his NHL career. After a few years in Providence he played for various teams in the International Hockey League, before he ended his active career.
