Meng Huo

Meng Huo (Chinese孟获), king of the Nanman, was a leader of the tribes in the region Nanzhong to the Three Kingdoms period in China ( 220-280 ).

In the classic novel The History of Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong, the romantic idealizing describes the events of the Three Kingdoms period, it is reported that he was involved in several minor battles with the kingdom Shu Han. As the kingdoms of Wu and Wei were focused on fighting against each other, took advantage of the Chancellor of the kingdom Shu, Zhuge Liang, the opportunity for a campaign against the Nanman to lead. After Meng Huo had been a total of seven times, captured by Zhuge and released, he surrendered and swore loyalty Shu. Zhuge had now back free and began a series of campaigns against the kingdom of Wei.

Meng Huo was married to Zhu Rong, who took a descent from the god of fire claim for themselves.

In the official history Meng Huo is not considered a member of the Nanman ( literally translated as " southern barbarians " ) but as Han Chinese.

Furthermore, Meng Huo is the model for the same character in the video game series Dynasty Warriors Koei from the house.
