Mengcheng County

The circle Mengcheng (Chinese蒙城 县, Pinyin Mengcheng Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Bozhou in Anhui province. It has an area of 2,060 or 2,091 square kilometers and has approximately 1.22 million inhabitants ( 2004).

The Neolithic Yuchi Temple site ( Yuchisi Yizhi尉迟 寺 遗址) the Dawenkou culture and the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda Mengcheng ( Mengcheng Wanfota蒙城 万 佛塔) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
