The Glattstängelige Mentzelie ( Mentzelia laevicaulis ) is a species of the genus Mentzelia in the family of flowers nettle plants ( Loasaceae ).
Features
The Glattstängelige Mentzelie is a biennial or perennial plant achieved the stature heights of 30 to 150 centimeters. The 2-3 ( 4) flowers are on a stem. They open in the morning. The 5 petals are pale yellow or white, lanceolate, pointed and have a length of 5 to 8 centimeters.
Bloom time is from June to October.
Occurrence
The Glattstängelige Mentzelie grows on dry gravelly and stony places in the western United States.
Use
The Glattstängelige Mentzelie is rarely used as an ornamental plant for Freilandsukkulentenbeete.
